Weekend Recap: Les Canadiennes Beat Blades; Inferno and Thunder Split the Weekend

It was an exciting weekend as the Thunder and Inferno split the series while Les Canadiennes swept the struggling Blades.

The Thunder earned the win on Saturday after an exciting game against the Inferno.  After 60 minutes of regulation play and a scoreless overtime, Barbara scored the only goal in the shootout for the Thunder against Rigsby to defeat the Inferno 3-2.  The Inferno rebounded on Sunday to defeat the Thunder 5-3, securing one win for the weekend.  We’ll see these two meet again this weekend in Markham.

In Montreal, Les Canadiennes swept the Blades, building upon the Blades struggles.  On Saturday, Les Canadiennes won 6-1 with Meghan Greeves getting the only goal for the Blades followed by a 7-0 win for Les Canadiennes on Sunday.  The Blades look to rebound next weekend against the Furies while Montreal takes a break before Shenzhen.
