Team Knox Beats Team Lacquette in 2019 CWHL All-Star Game

Toronto, Ont.— Team Gold beat Team Purple 8–4 this afternoon at the 2019 CWHL All-Star Game at Scotiabank Arena. Fans were given the opportunity to see the incredible talent and passion of the CWHL’s best.

Lead by Thunder veteran Liz Knox,  Team Gold wasted no time getting their first goal.  Inferno sniper Brianna Decker scored twice in the first period, followed by two goals from Brianne Jenner who would get the hat trick early in the Third.  Hanna Bunton and Anne-Sophie Bettez would also rack up three goals during the game to help put Team Gold on top.

Team Purple had a slow start to the game but came back strong in the second period.  Turnbull, Stacey and Wiliams each scored against Team Gold goalie Noora Raty to make the game 5-3 heading into the third.  Unfortunately for Brigette Lacquette’s Team Purple, Raty was solid in the third only allowing one goal by Zoe Hickel. Team Gold would ultimately end up winning the game.
