RED AND WHITE: CWHL Sends 21 Athletes to 2016 4 Nations Cup

The CWHL will send 21 athletes to  the 2016 4 Nations Cup in Vierumäki, Finland this November as part of Canada’s National Women’s Team.  The roster, which includes 3 goaltenders, 7 defenceman and 14 forwards, features players from all 5 CWHL teams. With a full roster of 24, the 21 CWHL athletes will compromise more than 85% of the team.

Entering its 21st edition, the 4 Nations Cup features the world’s top women’s hockey nations – Canada, the USA, Sweden and Finland and is hosted on a rotating basis between these hockey powers. The puck drops on the 2016 tournament on November 1 as Canada takes on Finland,before playing Sweden (Nov.2) and the USA (Nov.4) in preliminary action before the finals are hosted Nov. 5. A complete tournament schedule can be found here.
