Montréal Sweeps Toronto Road Swing

Traveling to the GTA, Les Canadiennes improved upon their record with back-to-back wins over the Markham Thunder and Toronto Furies.

The weekend opened with a special pre-game presentation and puck drop ceremony by the Markham Thunder at their YOU CAN PLAY Game, in support of You Can Play and Pflag York Region.

On the ice, Thunder forward Jamie Lee Rattray added two assists to her season total, now sitting fifth in points (8G, 5A) throughout the entire league, as Markham built a 2-0 lead early into the second period. However, Noémie Marin scored her fifth goal of the season for Les Canadiennes, before Ann-Sophie Bettez notched both the game-tying and shootout winner to complete the 3-2 come-from-behind victory for Montréal.

Scoring continued for the new team captain as Bettez added a hat-trick the next day in Les Canadiennes decisive 8-3 win over the Toronto Furies. The four-goal weekend lifted Bettez into a tie for third in the league in goals scored (8) and placed her in a tie for ninth in total points (9).
