POSITION: Executive Assistant to the Commissioner of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League

REPORTS TO:  Commissioner

STATUS: Full Time, One (1) Year Contract                     LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario

POTENTIAL START DATE: Oct. 10th, 2017                CLOSING DATE: Sept. 30th, 2017 @ 5:00 PM ET

Position Description:

Supporting the Commissioner, the selected candidate will be responsible for setting up meetings, handling correspondence, maintaining files, handling general administrative office management duties, including some accounting duties, coordinating the ordering of office supplies, filing, expense claim forms, couriering packages, etc. Will research, cost and propose travel arrangements required and assume other related duties as required.



  • – Assist Commissioner by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications
  • – Coordinate and organize scheduling and meetings and related arrangements
  • – Follow up from meetings: keeping minutes/records and ensure completion of action items
  • – Coordinate travel arrangements
  • – Prepare expense reports; process invoices and other accounting duties accurately
  • – Assist in preparation of reports and presentations
  • – Independent creation and enhancement of presentation and support materials
  • – Print, distribute and maintain computerized reports
  • – Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence for Commissioner
  • – Perform miscellaneous duties as required



  • – Experience supporting Management level staff and teams
  • – Post-secondary education with business or communications diploma/degree or equivalent work experience in area related to job
  • – Ability to work within fast paced environment
  • – Ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment of rapid change and shifting priorities
  • – Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • – Strong multitasking skills and proven ability to meet tight deadlines
  • – Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • – Ability to work well under pressure
  • – Proficient level of English is required but French and Mandarin ability is an asset
  • – Must have valid driver’s licence
