The Shenzhen KRS Vanke Rays netminder Noora Raty has been named the Gongshow Player of the Month for October 2018. Raty received 3 First Star honours, the Second Star twice and the Third star once during the first month of action.
The Finnish Olympian played in six out of eight games for the Rays with a goal against average of 2.04 and a 0.939 save percentage. The University of Minnesota alumni was drafted sixth overall in 2017 by the former Kunlun Red Stars where she helped the team reach the Clarkson Cup finals. Raty has remained in top form this season, making 185 saves this month against 197 shots against.
Raty returned to the CWHL with a Bronze medal after the Finnish women’s hockey team placed 3rd overall in the IIHF World Hockey Tournament in 2017 and Olympics in 2018. Noora will be representing Finland in the upcoming 4 Nations tournament this November.
