Les Canadiennes captain and veteran, Marie-Philip Poulin has been named the Gongshow Player of the Month. Poulin was named the 1st Star of the Game twice and was named 2rd star twice during the month of December.
The decorated Olympian is the among the top players in the league thus far with 11 goals, 15 assists and 26 points in 15 games played. Poulin and Les Canadiennes have been asserting their dominance this season with 24 points in 15 games played, winning 12 games and losing only 3 so far this season.
A leader on and off the ice, Poulin is one the CWHL’s brightest stars. She has captured two Clarkson Cups: in 2009 and 2017 and has collected several awards throughout her career, including the Jayna Hefford Trophy and Angela James Bowl, along with being named the CWHL’s MVP, in 2016 and 2017. With Team Canada, she has won two gold medals and one silver medal in three Winter Games (2010, 2014, 2018) and has captured one gold medal and six silver medals at the IIHF World Championships.
