Attending the 2018 Toronto Pride Parade on Sunday, June 24, the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL) marched hand-in-hand with league partners, You Can Play.
The contingent of leagues and teams walking as You Can Play representatives totaled over 150 members including ambassadors from Team Canada, COC, CFL, NHL, MLSE, NHLPA, NHL Alumni, Toronto Blue Jays, Ryerson Athletics and the CWHL.
“Pride is always a fun day and to be together with all the You Can Play partners in the parade was a great experience,” stated Brenda Andress. “As the commissioner of the CWHL, I am always so proud to know that inclusivity is one of the greatest strengths of our league and to see that shared by so many others on a day like today is always incredible.”
Toronto’s 38th annual Pride Parade was not dampened by poor weather, featuring more than 120 different groups and 197 different floats during the rainy two-kilometer march.
