CWHL Announces First Round of All-Star Players

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) is excited to announce the first round of players who have been selected to participate in the 2019 All-Star game.

The All-Star game is a chance to showcase some of the best athletes in professional women’s hockey.  Over half of the 34 players have represented their country at the Olympics and have a collection of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals between them.

The first group of players to be announced represent some of the top talent from all six teams and include seven forwards, four defenceman and one goalie.   Eight of the 11 players have represented their country at the Olympics and other International events and have been leading their teams so far this season. Over the course of the week, the CWHL will continue to release the names of the players who will be participating in the 2019 All-Star game happening January 20th at Scotiabank Arena.  Stay tuned for the next 12 players to be announced on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.
