Barenaked Ladies to Sing Anthem at CWHL All Star Game

Toronto, ON – The CWHL is excited to announce that the Barenaked Ladies will be performing the Canadian anthem at the 2019 CWHL All-Star Game.

The Toronto based band has sold over 14 million albums worldwide and were inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2018. The Barenaked Ladies have always been diehard hockey fans and were featured on Hockey Night in Canada last March. The Grammy nominated, Juno Award winning band is honoured to be able to be a part of the 2019 CWHL All-Star Game.

Drummer Tyler Stewart says, “Barenaked Ladies love women’s hockey, and we’re pretty stoked to sing for our Canadian Women’s Hockey League heroes and their awesome fans across the country on January 20th.”

“We are very happy to have Barenaked Ladies join us for one of our premier events.  They have always been a proud supporter of hockey, especially women’s hockey and we’re thrilled to have them join us,” Interim Commissioner Jayna Hefford said. “We’re excited to showcase some of the best hockey players in the world and put on an exciting game for our fans.”

The CWHL All-Star Game will be in Toronto on January 20, 2019, at Scotiabank Arena at 1:30 pm EST.  Tickets for the All-Star Game and Clarkson Cup final are currently on sale. Single tickets for each game are available for $20 plus applicable fees, but fans can purchase ticket packages that include the All-Star game, Clarkson Cup Final and Marlies game, being held after the Clarkson Cup, for $30 total.  Group tickets are also available for $15 per group of 10 for each game.
