Rays forward and CWHL All-Star Alex Carpenter has been named the Gongshow Player of the Month. Carpenter was named the 1st Star of the Game twice and was named 2rd star twice during the month of January.
The talented Boston College Alumni was drafted to the Rays in 2017 and immediately became an asset to the Rays, having played in 13 games and collecting 12 points in the regular season. During the playoffs, Carpenter scored a much-needed goal in triple OT taking the Rays to the Clarkson Cup Final. This year, Carpenter is still on top for the Rays and is 4th the league with 27 points, with 16 goals and 11 assists.
At only 24, Carpenter has had tremendous success in her career. She was just the eighth player in NCAA history to break the 250-point mark and in 2015 was the winner of the Patty Kazmaier Award. She has an Olympic silver medal, four gold medals from the IIHF women’s world championships and a gold and two silver medals from the U18 World Championships.
