ADT Goalie of the Week (Jan. 1-Jan. 7, 2018)


With 128 combined votes through CWHL polls via Twitter and, Les Canadiennes goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer has been named the ADT Goalie of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 7.

This marks the third fan-vote win for Maschmeyer over the past five weeks as she becomes the first to garner the award in 2018.

The Bruderheim, Alta., native picked up a pair of important wins for Les Canadiennes in a road doubleheader versus the Calgary Inferno this past weekend. The former Harvard Crimson posted 51 total saves, while allowing only one goal in the pair of 2017 Clarkson Cup rematches. Maschmeyer was most impressive in picking up three critical shootout saves in Montréal’s 2-1 Saturday night win, before posting a 24 save shutout the following afternoon.

Maschmeyer now sits in a tie for first in the CWHL in wins (10), while leading the league in goals-against average (1.68). She also currently ranks third in save percentage (.931).
