2018 Top Prospects: Leah Lum


A player who has proven to get better year-after-year, Leah Lum is a top all-around performer entering the 2018 CWHL Draft.

Lum appeared in 149 games with the University of Connecticut Huskies from 2014 to 2018, improving statistically in every season. Lum finished her four-year career with 102 points (42 G, 60 A), ranking second in program history in assists, third in points, and sixth in goals. The Richmond, British Columbia native is one of only three Huskies in program history to record 100 career points.

Lum registered a career-high 30 points (10 G, 20 A) in her senior year, appearing in 39 games and serving as an alternate captain. That year she was also honoured with the Hockey East Sportsmanship Award. Other recognition during her collegiate career includes the 2017 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar Award and being named to the 2015 Hockey East All-Rookie team.
