2018 Top Prospects: Alex Rigsby

2018 Olympic Gold Medalist and seasoned goaltender, Alex Rigsby, is bringing international experience and championship goaltending to the 2018 CWHL Draft.

The Downers Grove, Illinois native enters the draft with three years of professional hockey experience, having played for the Minnesota Whitecaps from 2014 – 2017 and international experience as a member of Team USA.  Alex has won an Olympic Gold Medal, 4 IIHF gold medals in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 and secured a 1st place finish in four out five showings at the Four Nations Cup.

Prior to her professional career, Alex attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison and played with the UW Badgers from 2010- 2014.  It was with the Badgers that Alex won a WCHA championship in 2011, led the nation in saves and won Wisconsin Athlete of the Year.  As a Badger, Alex received numerous accolades, including being named Captain, the first goaltender to ever hold this title.
